Signing with Roughneck

Version: 1.1 · Effective: 7 October 2026

You have been sent a document to sign by the company named on the document (the "vendor"). The vendor uses Roughneck, a service run by Bootstrap Digital, Inc. (a Texas corporation in formation), to write and send its documents. The document is between you (and the company you sign for) and the vendor. Roughneck is not a party to it.

1. Signing electronically

By ticking the box and signing, you agree:

You can ask the vendor for a paper copy, or to sign on paper instead, at any time before you sign. Contact the vendor directly. To keep a copy, save or print the signed document when you finish. The vendor also keeps one.

2. What is recorded when you sign

These go into the document's audit trail, which the vendor and your company both receive. Anyone who holds the document's verification code can check that it exists, and see its number, the parties, the date signed and the total. They cannot see anything else.

3. What a signature here proves

The record shows which document was signed, when, and from what kind of device. On its own, it does not prove who held the device. If the vendor asks for a photo-ID check (section 4), the record also shows that a person showed a government photo ID matching the name given. It still does not show whether that person had authority to sign for their company.

4. The photo-ID check (only if the vendor asks for it)

Before you start, read this biometric notice.

Written release. I have read the biometric notice above. I release and consent to Stripe, Inc. collecting my ID images and a selfie and comparing my face with the photo on my ID, for the sole purpose of confirming my identity for this document. I understand that Stripe alone holds the face comparison and deletes it within one year; that my ID images and selfie are deleted from Roughneck's Stripe account within 4 days after the result is saved; and that Roughneck and the vendor receive only whether the check passed, the name on the ID and when.

5. Your information

The vendor decides what happens to the signed document and your details in it. Roughneck keeps them for the vendor as its service provider. Roughneck's Privacy Policy explains how, and your choices. For anything about the document itself, contact the vendor. For privacy questions about Roughneck, write to connect@roughneckcrm.com.

I have read this notice and agree to sign electronically.
