Ten minutes to your first logged call. Keep this on your phone.
1. Sign in
- Open roughneck.app on your phone.
- Your owner already set you up? Tap I have a seat. New to the shop? Tap Create an account.
- Put in your work email and tap Sign in (or Create account). Type the eight-digit code from the email.
- New to the shop: tap Join my company. Type the shop code your owner gave you under Or enter the code and tap Next. Put in your name, tap Sales rep, and tap Join.
- When Read and agree. shows (at your first sign-in with a seat, or the next time you open the app after joining), tap each document to read it, tick the box and tap Agree and open Roughneck.
A new phone or a new browser tab starts signed out. Put the app on your home screen and it stays signed in. A seat works on two devices, a phone and a computer.
2. Today
Today opens with your calls due, what the state filed in your states, and Up next, the moves worth making. Tap Start calling and it works the list top to bottom.
3. Make the call
- The card shows who they are and why you are calling. Tap Call.
- Follow the script on screen. Tap Said it to keep their answer.
- Tap The call's over.
- Tap what happened: Answered, No answer, Not their call, Set meeting or Number is dead. After Answered, pick Interested, Wants a number, Not now or Not interested.
- Tap Next call.
That tap sets the next date. No answer comes back later today. Interested comes back in two working days. Not now waits 30 days. Not interested parks it for 90. Eight touches with no meeting parks it too. You never pick a date.
4. Cold, Warm, Hot, Won
Every account shows Where it stands. You never set it.
- Warm: somebody took your call, or you visited.
- Hot: a quote is out, a meeting is set or held, or you know five of the nine things worth knowing.
- Won: they signed a quote or field ticket, agreed to one, or you put in their MSA date. They move to My Customers.
5. No signal
Your book lives on your phone. Log calls, write notes and build quotes with no bars. Everything goes up when you have signal again. If something has not gone up yet, Today says so. Sending a signing link needs signal.
6. Help
Tap the three dots by your name, then Help. It has the manual, the common questions, a box to tell us what would make it better, and our email.
To turn the notes on each screen on or off: Settings, Tutorial.
